Plover Challenge

The "Plover Challenge" was devised by Master Adam Stedefast and Lord Ęthelwulf the Goliard as a means of promoting field heraldry in the Kingdom of the Outlands, and the Outlands College of Heralds as a whole. While it's primary method of earning 'points' (more on this later) is to get out there and do Field Heraldry, there are also discussions on the Outlands-heralds Yahoogroup which can earn points.

The Challenge is for voice heralds to get out there and do what they do best: be voice heralds. Calling the rounds of a tournament, running the cards back-and-forth, and making announcements to the populace through town crying are all ways that Field Heralds enrich the game that is the SCA, and here at Plover HQ, we're hoping to make this a reality.

At the closing of the last Plover Challenge, Ęthelwulf said that he had so much fun officiating the original Challenge that he would be running a second challenge. This challenge started 1 August A.S. XXXX, and will run until such a time that a good amout of time has elapsed (and a Kingdom-level Heraldry event comes up). Also, Ęthelwulf regrets to say that the finalists from the Last Season are ineligible for this Season's compeition (to keep things fair, sorry guys!).

Last Season's Plover Points and Challenges are have been archived.
