The "Plover Challenge" was devised by Master Adam Stedefast and Lord Ęthelwulf the Goliard as a means of promoting field heraldry in the Kingdom of the Outlands, and the Outlands College of Heralds as a whole. While it's primary method of earning 'points' (more on this later) is to get out there and do Field Heraldry, there are also discussions on the Outlands-heralds Yahoogroup which can earn points.
The 'First Season' concluded at Knowne World Heralds and Scribes Symposium in the Barony of Caer Galen in AS XXXX. Ęthelwulf enjoyed overseeing the challenge so much, he started a second season beginning August AS. XXXX. The First Season's winners were as follows: In a tie for third Place, Carrick conceded to Agustus; In a tie for Second Omar conceeded to Timothy (who passed his prize on to Margaret Hepburn from Blackwater Keep); And Cathyn won the challenge (and then passed his prize on to Carrick).
